So, you're wondering why such an avid agnostic such as myself takes the time to mention anything about angels on his blog. The answer is very simple...
They're interesting. Nothing more, nothing less.
Angels, both blessed and fallen, have always represented the fierce dichotomy that has raged in every civilization since the dawn of man. They represent praise, blame, spectacle, disaster, miracle, salvation, damnation, and about a million other beautiful and scary things that I can think of. It's neat to see the polymorphic nature of each angel as he/she is perceived by different faiths, to understand why some are embraced by one doctrine and scorned by others, and to learn the true history of how they came to be known as they are.
